Legislation and medical technology: improving patient access to medical devices and medical devices for in vitro diagnostics

The event is organized by CEHP under the patronage of the Ministry of Health.
This meeting aims to support the dialogue between the all the stakeholders , including representatives of health institutions, scientific, and patient organizations, business representatives, to consider current issues related to European and national legislation regarding medical devices and medical devices for in vitro diagnostics.
Together with industry leaders and distributors of medical devices and medical devices for in vitro diagnostics, we will discuss upcoming legal reforms aimed at strengthening support for Bulgarian patients to access innovative medical technologies and improve patient outcomes across the spectrum of healthcare, from prevention to treatment.
The objectives of the event are:
– Identification of synergies between European and national policies regarding medical technology and access to medical devices and medical devices for in vitro diagnostics.
– Facilitating the participation of relevant stakeholders at the national level, using research and innovation in medical technology.
– Support efforts to engage scientific societies to develop data-based reimbursement proposals for medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
– Ensuring equal access to medical technologies for Bulgarian patients, aligning with European standards, HTA and monitoring the effect of medical devices and medical devices for in vitro diagnostics by collecting local data.
